Luana Kai

Resort itself wonderful. This review more about the unit we rented. 3rd visit to this resort and previous rooms were great. This was B205 this visit, and room was very dated. Very old small tub/shower combination, washer and dryer bang closet doors when opening. Not the typical "Hawaii theme" unit. Just an average unit compared to B209 and B211 we have stayed at before. If 209 or 211 are available, pick them first. Again, resort was fabulous. Clean, pool was great, great BBQ's. Easy walk to the beach. Turtles 15 minute walk down the sand. If we come back to Maui, we will stay here again, just not in B205.

I think I have stayed at Luana Kai eight years out of the ten I've been coming to the island. The staff is amazing and very accommodating. The views from the ocean front condos are unbelievable. Very centrally located. Already lined up to stay there again next year, my happy place

Stayed here for a week in February. The weather was amazing as were the grounds around the property. The pool was a nice amenity to have for our 3 year old. The beach located close to the property is not a good swimming beach in my opinion, but made for beautiful sunsets and great for walks. The property is out of the business of Kihei, but a short drive into town to get whatever you need. Couldn’t recommend more.

First time in Kihei and I think we found the best place. Smallish complex, well-kept units, beautiful landscape, clean everywhere.

Incredible visit and location. Condo was very clean and lots of good information left in the condo to run the tv, air conditioner, and just about anything else. Excellent location! Beach is 3 minute walk. Swimming pool and Landscaping all very clean and maintain daily. Could not ask for much more.

We had a wonderful two week stay at Luana Kai. Four of us stayed in a 2/2, then when two of our group left, my husband and I moved to a 1/1 with a beautiful ocean view the second week. Both were on the ground floor and easy to walk out the lanai to the pool and grounds. The front office staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, from a change in dates, to helping us with logistics when needing to move to the other unit because we decided to stay overnight in Hana, to checking out earlier than planned. Thank you to Leslie and all the Luana Kai staff. The property is beautiful and "old school." This is not the Four Seasons. But if you are looking for a well maintained, flowery condo complex with room to cook your own meals if you want, relax with a glass of wine on the porch, do your laundry in the unit, borrow coolers, lawn chairs, and umbrellas without paying to rent them, and enjoy spectacular views of the water, fragrant landscaping, and stunning sunsets, this is your place. Another reviewer stated "if you stay on the ground level there are a lot of bugs" and this was simply not true. Also, the condos are individually owned, so when I called to book, the office staff directed me to units that met my needs. Just ask! Finally, the extra fee for air conditioning is pretty typical around Kihei. It was warm in May, so plan accordingly. Power is very expensive in Hawaii. If we return to Maui, I will definitely call Luana Kai again and book directly with them!

Clean room. Fairly recently updated. Great location, on the beach! Very nice pool with a 7ft end so the kids could dive.
